Grant’s Signature Whisky is a good dram to pull in new Whisky drinkers. It is not overwhelming and has a good sweetness to it. Although it may not be as complex as some drams, the maltiness gives it a bit of depth and allows the other flavours to really make themselves known. Grant's has replaced the Grant's Family Family Reserve with Grant's Blended Scotch Whiskey Triple Wood. Big mistake This scotch is inferior in every way compared to Grant's Family Reserve. It's inexpensive, fairly neutral and, as one person (perhaps it was @ Victor) put it, a "universal solvent".Grant's Family Reserve is inexpensive and does exactly what you think: it's useful for making an Old Fashioned, a Rusty Nail, a Godfather, a Rob Roy or whatever else you fancy. Really good whisky. Cairdeas means friendship in Gaelic, and each year, distillery manager and fifth-generation Islay native John Campbell creates an expression for friends of the brand.
